Google đang phát triển phương thức sử dụng trí tuệ nhân tạo để theo dõi cá voi nhằm bảo vệ loài có nguy cơ tuyệt chủng.
Mới đây, Google tuyên bố sẽ cung cấp nhiều giải pháp tận dụng triệt để trí tuệ nhân tạo (AI) trong đó có nỗ lực theo dõi và bảo vệ cá voi, phá vỡ rào cản ngôn ngữ trong giao tiếp của con người.
Giải pháp này được phát triển thuộc dự án “âm sinh học” sử dụng AI để giúp các nhà khoa học, chính phủ và nhiều tổ chức phi lợi nhuận theo dõi, kiểm soát các loài có nguy cơ tuyệt chủng.
Hai năm trước, Google đã hợp tác với Cơ quan quản lý đại dương và khí quyển quốc gia Mỹ để theo dõi cá voi lưng gù bằng cách sử dụng AI để nhận ra tiếng kêu của cá voi trong vô số âm thanh thu bởi micro đặt dưới biển. Hãng cũng đã liên minh với các nhóm bảo vệ môi trường để theo dõi những con cá voi sát thủ đang bị đe dọa nghiêm trọng ở biển Salish bằng AI.
“Chúng tôi đã thiết kế một mạng lưới phân tích thần kinh sâu, tự động phát hiện các nguy cơ và ngay lập tức gửi thông báo tới các nhà quản lý cảng biển Canada”, đại diện Google nói.
